Sweet and Savory Chicken and Waffles
Ingredients
For the chicken:

skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

all-purpose flour

large eggs
beaten

panko bread crumbs

butter

olive oil

maple syrup

Dijon mustard
For the waffles:

all-purpose flour

teaspoons
baking powder

teaspoon
salt

cup
milk
1/4
cup
melted butter

egg
Instructions
Make the chicken:
In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken breasts in the flour mixture.
In another shallow dish, combine beaten eggs, panko bread crumbs. Dip chicken breasts in the egg mixture, then coat with the bread crumb mixture.
Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides and cooked through.
In a small bowl, combine maple syrup and Dijon mustard.
Drizzle maple syrup-Dijon mustard mixture over chicken breasts.
Make the waffles:
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, combine milk, melted butter, and egg.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
Cook waffles in a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
Serve: Serve chicken with waffles.
