Fresh and Flavorful Guacamole

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados pitted and scooped
  • 1 medium tomato diced
  • 1/2 red onion finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper minced (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 lime juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Mash avocados: In a medium bowl, mash the avocados with a fork. Leave some chunks for texture.
  • Add ingredients: Stir in the diced tomato, chopped red onion, minced jalapeño, chopped cilantro, and lime juice.
  • Season: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately: Serve the guacamole immediately with tortilla chips, or use it as a topping for tacos, burritos, or salads.
  • Tips:
  • For a smoother guacamole, use a blender or food processor.
  • To prevent the guacamole from browning quickly, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating.
  • For a spicier guacamole, leave the seeds in the jalapeño pepper.
  • Add a squeeze of fresh lime juice just before serving to enhance the flavor.
