Delicious Beef Tacos: Perfect for Taco Tuesday

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • Your favorite toppings e.g., shredded cheese, salsa, guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes

Instructions

  • Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Break it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  • Add vegetables: Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Season: Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer: Pour in the tomato sauce and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve: Warm the corn tortillas according to package instructions. Fill the tortillas with the beef mixture and your desired toppings.

  • Tip: For a spicier taco, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
