Chocolate Bar Filling

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c Sugar
  • 5 tb Cornstarch
  • 3 tb Brown sugar
  • 1/4 ts Salt
  • 3 c Milk
  • 3 Egg yolks beaten
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 8 oz Chocolatebar

Instructions

  • Combine all but vanilla and chocolate bar in a saucepan.
  • Stir constantly until the mixture boils; boil and stir for 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat; add vanilla and chocolate bar, broken into pieces.
  • Stir until the chocolate is completely melted. Pour into a bowl and press plastic wrap directly on surface; cool.
  • Yields about 4 cups filling Chocolate
  • Glaze: 1 4oz Chocolate bar 1 Tablespoon water Melt chocolate in a double boiler or microwave; stir to blend, add more water if it is too thick.
